Nikita (she/her) is an artist and bookworm with two cats and a passion for community care and accessible information. As an artist, she uses textiles, paranormal imagery, and poetry to integrate whimsy with honest discussions of trauma and connection. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining MIBA, Nikita worked as a co-owner and sidelines buyer for The Raven Book Store in Lawrence, KS, acquiring print work from small artists and presses. She reads a mixture of queer, and often strange, fiction and memoir-focused creative nonfiction. At any given time, you will most likely find her drinking out of a Bigfoot mug, handwriting letters, and talking about 90s television to her partner. Email her at nikita@midwestbooksellers.org.
