Intro to Bookshop

Bookshop.org is an ecommerce platform your store can use as their sole form of ecommerce, or in addition to however you sell books online currently. In this session, learn about what Bookshop is, how the affiliate network works, how your store benefits from joining Bookshop, and why it's especially advantageous for indie bookstores. Whether or not you've heard of Bookshop, you probably have questions, so please join Sarah High, Bookshop's Senior Partnership Manager, in this virtual event and she'll answer any and all of your queries.

Independent booksellers will be on hand to tell you first-hand how Bookshop works for them: Sandy Schubert (Hedgie's Books, Toys & More), Eddy Nix (Driftless Books and Music), and Amanda Lepper (Dog·Eared Books).

Sarah High has been with the Bookshop.org team since August 2019. At Bookshop, Sarah helps booksellers become comfortable with using Bookshop.org as indie booksellers. Before Bookshop, Sarah was a publishing intern at Catapult, Soft Skull, and Counterpoint Press. Prior to that, Sarah was a bookseller and bookstore manager at Book Culture on Broadway in NYC.

Did you know? Since March 2020 Bookshop has raised more than 19 million dollars for indie bookstores

Bookshop.org is a free ecommerce platform with the explicit mission to support local, independent bookstores. "By design, we give away over 75% of our profit margin to bookstores, publications, authors and others who make up the thriving, inspirational culture around books. As an ABA bookstore, you can sign up to become an affiliate with us on Bookshop.org. Bookshop can serve as your sole form of ecommerce, or it can be supplemental to your other ecommerce platforms."
