Monday, August 19, 2024
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (CDT)

Event Details

This event is designed to connect booksellers who want to facilitate book donations with organizations equipped to distribute them. We will introduce different book access programs, discuss

how to use book sales to support them, and consider different models for making it sustainable for your business.

The event will be hosted by ABA in collaboration with Authors Against Book Bans, the Independent Book Publishers Association, Red Wine & Blue, and others.

Registration is required.

Book access programs for banned and diverse books are essential. In places where books are banned from public institutions like schools and libraries, these programs may be the only way low-income kids can see themselves reflected in literature.

The goal of this event is to connect booksellers who want to facilitate book donations with organizations equipped to distribute them. We will introduce different book access programs, discuss how to use book sales to support them, and consider different models for making it sustainable for your business. Registration is mandatory for attendance.
