BookLight Events: Celebrating Forgotten Women in History with Sourcebooks

BookLight Events! Created by Sourcebooks, moderated by Skylark Bookshop bookseller Mary O’Malley

This is a monthly virtual events series launching for March, April, and May (and possibly beyond!) that creates an opportunity for independent bookstores to provide virtual programming for their readers for little cost or effort on behalf of the bookstore.

The March event focuses on celebrating forgotten women in history, featuring four fiction and nonfiction titles by authors Marie Benedict (Her Hidden Genius), Kate Moore (The Woman They Could Not Silence), Heather Webb (The Next Ship Home), and Katharine Gregorio (The Double Life of Katharine Clark).

How this works:

• Sourcebooks hosts a monthly virtual event with bestselling authors
• Independent bookstores can make use of the Bookmarked for Bookstores book club program to host a book club for one of the event books or simply put the event on their store calendar and invite their customers via this registration link
• Event graphics are provided for bookstores to use in social media, newsletters, and website marketing efforts.
